Drei Studios in und um Madrid sowie zwei in Barcelona gehören zur selben Leitung. La Castellana mit dem grossen heissen Raum habe ich bereits besucht; dort sind die Farben einheitlich in Blau gehalten. In La Morelaja in Alcobendas, dem neuesten und erst vor fünf Viertel Jahren eröffneten Studio, fällt die rote Farbe auf: von den Sesseln über die Korpusse, die Türrahmen bis hin zu den Mietmatten.

Das Studio liegt etwa 13 Kilometer nordwestlich des Madrider Zentrums, in einem blühenden Park; sogar eine Parkwächterin hilft einem auf den richtigen Weg. Ein kleiner Dämpfer ist die Eingangshalle, ähnlich einer Tiefgarage, womit die Yoga-Leitung jedoch nichts zu tun hat. Umso schöner präsentieren sich die zum Teil verwinkelten Räume; sogar der heisse Raum weist überraschende Ecken auf. Oberhalb den Spiegelfronten gibt’s kleine Fenster, dahinter Bäume.

Annabelle ist die Teacherin; den spanischen Dialog kann ich allmählich mit Hilfe anderer Sprachen und dem Wissen des englischen Dialogs einordnen. Je nach Bedarf gibt die Teacherin mehr Tempo. Das Raumklima ist perfekt und sehr angenehm, sofern man das bei einer Temperatur von 40 Grad sagen kann. Jedenfalls sorgt die Lüftung stets dafür, dass man Atem holen kann: Anscheinend konnte beim Einbau der Anlage von den übrigen, älteren Studios profitiert werden. Marta Moron, die Direktorin, ist eigens zusammen mit ihrem Töchterchen hergekommen und zeigt sich sehr hilfsbereit: ein rundum gelungener Besuch an diesem herrlichen Samstagmorgen.

Three studios in and around Madrid and two in Barcelona belong to the same management. La Castellana, the one with the big hot room, did I visit the day before. The colours there are all in different shades of blue. Now in La Morelaja in Alcobendas, dominates red. The seats, the counter, the door frames, even the mats are in that colour. It is the newest studio, it only opened up somewhat more than one year ago.

The studio lies about 13 km to the northwest of downtown Madrid and is situated in a park full of flowers. A park keeper even showed me the way to the place. A tiny setback is the entrance hall, which looks like a underground parking, but the management can’t help. All the nicer look the rooms, full of hidden corners. Even the hot room has them. Above the mirror front are some small windows with trees behind them.

Annabelle is the teacher. In the meantime, I can understand most of the dialog in Spanish and she varies the speed of the postures according to need. The room climate is perfect and very agreeable. As far as one can say so at 40° centigrade. At least, the air condition allows you to breath. It seems they did take advantage of the experience in their other, older studios. Marta Moron, the director, has come in together with her little daughter and is very helpful. A thoroughly pleasant visit for me on this bright Saturday morning.
