Tricia ist seit 2003 eine zertifizierte Bikram Yoga Teacherin. Seither hat sie nicht nur in ganz Irland unterrichtet, sondern auch in Thailand und Südafrika. Auf Bikram Yoga stiess sie, nachdem sie 1997 einen Reitunfall erlitten hatte. Man stellte in Aussicht, dass sie ohne Behandlung nicht mehr gesunden würde. Schliesslich erzählte man ihr von den Vorteilen von Yoga. Sie probierte verschiedene Stile aus, bis sie auf Bikramyoga stiess. Die Wirkung auf ihre Gesundheit war verblüffend. Keine Besuche beim Osteopathen waren mehr nötig. So entschied sie sich, selber eine Bikramyoga-Lehrerin zu werden und alle „Benefits“ an ihre Schüler weiterzugeben.

Tricia trained with founder Bikram Choudhury in his LA studio in 2002 and she has been teaching Bikram yoga throughout Ireland and as far afield as Thailand and South Africa since 2003. Having badly injured her back in a horse riding accident in 1997, she was told that she would have to regularly visit osteopaths or chiropractors for the rest of her life. That was the case until a friend told her of the amazing benefits of yoga. After trying various different forms of Hatha Yoga, which is the most common type of yoga practised in the western world, bringing you to your peak of fitness both mentally and physically, she discovered Bikram Yoga. She decided to concentrate on Bikram Yoga as this form of hatha yoga focuses on strengthening the spine and knees in particular. We all know that if you have a healthy strong spine you are well on the road to physical fitness as our spine is our core. Lower back pain is one of the main reasons for absenteeism at work. So having noticed the difference yoga made to her back—no more trips to the osteopath were required—Tricia decided to train as a yoga teacher and pass on its amazing healing benefits to others.
