Bikram Yoga Basel

Danke Antonio! Good luck!

The beautiful former studio in the middle of the old town closed down quite some time ago. Antonio who used to work as a teacher there wanted to open a new studio. He checked more than 30 places during the last two years. Once he nearly suceeded. But when he wanted to install the heating after having done a great deal of the other work, the owner cancelled the agreement. Finally Antonio Milesi found a location that satisfied all his meeds. It’s located between the former barracks and the exhibitions complex in Kleinbasel – in a quiet street in a backyard.

There is a stair that goes downstairs – similar to Susanne’s studio in Berne. Without windows, of course. But with an excellent  air system which provides fresh air the entire class. There is much of originality, a good eye for wonderful small things and a lot of space. Antonio , whom I met in the studio in Uppsala years ago as my teacher, gives me a tour before the lesson starts. He explaines how he managed to renovate the location together with an Equatorian friend, even though he never worked with his hands; he studied business and economy at the university. No wonder that he likes this place so much.

What he enjoys most is the fact that former students from the now closed studio are practising in the new one. Today we are 3 yogis: his girl-friend Julia, myself and a former yogi who is glad to be able to work out again in Basel. Antonio teaches competently; he shows me how to improve my Triangle-posture. I surely will try this from now on. Thank you Antonio! Good luck!
