Nach ihrer ersten Bikram-Yoga-Klasse fühlte sich Saskia grossartig. Sie wusste, dass mehr daraus entstehen würde. Das war 2008; damals lebte sie in Dublin. Die Art, wie man sich gleichzeitig auf Ausdauer, Flexibilität und Balance konzentrieren muss, gefiel ihr sehr. Wähend ihrem weiteren Training durfte sie manche Veränderungen erleben. Nebst physischen Durchbrüchen in einzelnen Posen, wurde sie auch psychisch ruhiger und sie lernte, sich vor allem auf die richtige Ausführung zu konzentrieren, bevor man in die Tiefe geht.
“It is a never ending journey of learning, adjusting, letting go, getting back up and being grateful, humble and positive no matter what”, sagt sie. 2014 absolvierte sie das Teacher-Training, was ihr erlaubte, ihre positiven Erfahrungen mit vielen weiteren zu teilen. Sie unterrichtete in Irland, Australien, Thailand und in den USA. Jetzt lebt sie in Lissabon, dieser schönen Stadt und fühlt sich wirklich privilegiert, um diese Yoga-Art nach Portugal zu bringen: “finally sharing the Original Hot Yoga with the kindhearted and lovely portuguese people…..”
“A never ending journey…”
Saskia began her Bikram Hot Yoga journey back in 2008 while living in Dublin, Ireland. After her first class she felt amazing and knew she was going to go back for more. She liked the focus that is required during class in order to combine strength, flexibility and balance.
During her practice she experienced changes in many different ways: from physical breakthroughs in challenging postures, to calming the mind and ego when focusing on alignment and strength rather than depth.
The main aspect she enjoys about the classic Hot Yoga, is that it is a never ending journey of learning, adjusting, letting go, getting back up and being grateful, humble and positive no matter what.
In 2014 she became a teacher so she could share these experiences with others around the world, teaching in Ireland, Australia, Thailand and the US. Today, she is truly excited to live in this amazing, beautiful city called Lisbon and feels very privileged to be finally sharing the Original Hot Yoga with the kindhearted and lovely portuguese people…..
